The in-person clinic is dedicated to custom orthotics. Every pair starts with a hands-on exam and gait analysis by a board-certified podiatrist, so the prescription reflects how your feet actually move.

A look at your feet, ankles, and legs standing and moving: alignment, joint motion, and how weight moves through each foot as you walk.

Each foot is captured in a controlled position so the orthotic is shaped to you, not to a size chart.

Your orthotics are made to Dr. Rashid's written prescription, with materials and corrections chosen from your exam.

You try them in your own shoes, the fit is checked, and you leave knowing how to break them in.

Second opinionFor a bigger decision: surgery has been recommended, you're weighing a procedure or injection, or a treatment plan doesn't sit right. Dr. Rashid reviews the records and imaging reports you send ahead of time, then meets with you to go through your options and the questions worth asking your treating team.

Focused Foot/Ankle Pain Visit
One main pain problem, such as heel, arch, ankle, tendon, or forefoot pain. Includes your history, a guided on-camera exam, and a plan that may include home care, footwear and orthotic advice, prescriptions when appropriate, or imaging and in-person referral when needed.

Skin and Toenail Video Visit
Thick or discolored toenails, ingrown nails, calluses and corns, warts, athlete's foot, dry or cracked heels, and rashes on the feet. Good lighting and a clear view of the area make this visit work well.

Numbness, tingling, burning, or pins-and-needles in the feet and legs. A structured review of your symptoms, health history, and any prior lab work, with guided checks on camera and a plan for next steps, including testing to discuss with your primary care clinician and foot-protection habits.

- Controlled substances are not prescribed through telehealth.
- Some problems need hands-on care. If that's the case, you'll be told and pointed toward the right next step.

Foot & Ankle Doctor is a solo practice. The person who examines you, watches you walk, and writes your orthotic prescription is the same person who answers your email.
Dr. Rashid completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency, with the added Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery credential, at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as chief resident. He has since practiced as a solo podiatrist in hospitals, a multi-specialty medical group, urgent care, nursing homes, and assisted living, treating everything from skin and nail problems to diabetic foot wounds, fractures, and tendon injuries. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University.

Do you take insurance?
No. Foot & Ankle Doctor is a cash-pay practice. Every service has a flat, published price, and you pay the practice directly. Care is open to anyone willing to pay for it directly.
What does the $499 orthotics price include?
The foot and lower-limb exam, gait analysis, impressions of both feet, fabrication of one pair of custom orthotics, and the fitting and dispensing visit. There's no separate fee for the gait analysis.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed for orthotics or telehealth visits.
Is the Columbia clinic open for other foot problems?
For now, the in-person clinic is focused on custom orthotics. For other foot and ankle concerns, a telehealth visit is a good place to start, and you'll be pointed to in-person care if you need it.
Which telehealth visit should I choose?
Pick the Skin and Toenail visit for nails and skin, the Focused Pain visit for one painful area, the Neuropathy visit for numbness, tingling, or burning, and the Decision Review if you're facing a surgery or major treatment decision. Which states can I be in for a telehealth visit?
Texas, Florida, Missouri, Hawaii, New Hampshire, or Vermont, at the time of the visit. Florida visits are provided under a Florida telehealth provider registration. California is expected in December 2026.
